Beep, Beep, Beep...Wham.
The sound of an alarm clock would ring through the apartment complex, then an equally loud sound of something being crushed would follow, as Narin's half asleep brain told him to hit the snooze button on his alarm clock, only to note that it just happened to be his Iron arm that slammed down a little too hard on the device. It was his 4th alarm clock since arriving in Japan, and he was losing money on buying those damn things.
"Overslept again..." Narin would think to himself with a groan, before sitting up onto the side of his bed, holding his head with his metallic left hand. He had a headache, his body was sore and the knuckles on his metal arm were scratched. He had been training too hard and it was showing. That aside, he would jump into the shower, brush his teeth, have some breakfast and be off out of the door in search of a job to help him keep himself alive, and to buy a better place.
Walking down the street, his usual hooded cloak would be replaced by an expensive leather jacket, his arm gloved and covered as always to reduce staring and the likes. All would be going well as he headed for a stroll in the direction of Shibuya, of course, it was a fair walk and he would have made it there sooner if it wasn't for him bumping into something soft and small. His body would arch forward a little as he felt something crashing into his stomach.
"Oof." He would say, turning his left hand side away from whatever had bumped into him. He only hoped that the person, or thing hadn't felt his metal arm and pec, it would be easier for him like that.

The smell was really starting to get to her. She couldn't help but move closer to the food stand. There were these weird pieces of sausage covered with buns. It took her a few seconds to realize that they were hot dogs. They didn't have those in Ginza-ko. Mai really wanted to have a bite. She took a look at the price.
"Ehh. Hitotsu yonhyakuen nano?" She said a little angrily. (What! One costs 400 yen?")
There was no way she could afford that price. She currently had zero yen in her pockets. However, she wanted to really have a taste of that hot dog. It had been at least a day since she had a proper meal. The guy running the stand gave her a strange look. Mai probably stood out since she was wearing ripped clothes. She looked no different than some homeless person. He probably thought that she was going to steal something from him.
Well, that was what she was planning to do.
Her chance came when the man was busy taking another customer's orders. His head was turned and she was able to lay her hands one a hotdog. He turned the next second, and she was forced to run away. Mai only managed to steal one hotdog, but that was way better than nothing. Behind her she could hear loud yelling. She was forced to speed up and take a complicated path headed to Shibuya. Mai turned her head and looked back. She saw no one chasing her which meant that she managed to get away. Since she wasn't looking at where she was going, she accidentally bumped into someone. It was definitely someone muscular and tall. Mai couldn't get a good look at his face because she was too busy looking at the ground. Covered with dirt was her precious hot dog.

His eyebrow would raise as he looked down at the girl in confusion. This was why he hated certain parts of Tokyo, there were oddballs all over the place. This girl, his initial review concluded that she must have been a hobo. Her clothes were scruffy and she was in a rush with the hotdog. He couldn't quite place his finger on exactly what was going on, but the one thing he did know, she looked pretty damn mischievious. He would look at that hotdog, covered in dirt. He would offer to pay for it, but he wanted to know the situation before he did anything like that.
"Late for something?" He would ask in his mature personality as he looked down at the girl. She looked cute, his age too, not that he was thinking about anything. His left hand would extend to offer a hand, yet he would quickly retract it and offer his right instead.
He however was on guard, he didn't know the girl, yet he knew of the types of people in the world. She may have been cute, but she sure as hell could have had a vicious bite, and if she attacked, he'd be ready to take her down, or try. He wasn't looking for a fight however, and his body showed no hostility.

A groan escaped from her lips. Usually she wouldn't pick up things from the ground and eat them, but she was pretty desperate. Years of living on barely nothing taught her to never waste good food. She reached over, picked up the hot dog, and tried her best to brush off all the dirt. It was still a little soiled, but it was certainly edible.
The guy that she bumped into looked pretty foreign. She wondered if he spoke English. However, this wasn't the time to make conversation and brush up on her English skills. It was best if she apologized and walked away.
She quickly shook her head when he asked if she was late for something. For some reason the English words wouldn't pop up in her head. All she could do was just nod and shake her head. Mai ignored the offered hand and got to her feet without any help. The hotdog was still clutched tightly in her hand.
Her stomach growled. It would seem weird to eat a dirty hotdog in front of some guy, but she didn't care. She was just too hungry. Slowly, she lifted the hot dog to her lips and took a small bite. It wasn't that bad, but it still felt pretty weird.

No response? None what so ever. The girl just looked at Narin as if he were so kind of freak, which he just so happened to be by the people of Ginza-Ko's calling. Was she deaf? Maybe not. That was when it clicked, he was in Japan afterall, and this girl must not have spoken English. With the Westernisation it was hard to find somebody who didn't speak English.
That wasn't all that was on his mind though. He would watch her as she came to a stand, and then she would do something which made him open his eyes in shock. She was actually going to eat off of the floor? This street was filthy and there was clearly mud all over that hotdog. Usually, Narin wouldn't have cared but...She looked at a loss for money so.
With a quick sweep of his arm, he would grab the hotdog from her hands, and lob it forcefully up and over a skyscraper, his metal arm allowing him to do so easily. He would turn back to the girl, and his lips would part.
"Its bad to eat off of the floor. If you're that hungry I'll buy you some clean food." Narin would say to her in perfect Japanese, along with the accent. With that said, he would stand with a relatively angry look, his arms crossed over his front. He waited for a response.

Mai's lips closed around the hot dog, thinking she would be able to enjoy a meal. It was easy to tell that she was quite poor. She was now desperate enough to steal food and eat it off the ground. However, her hot dog disappeared before she could even take a proper bite and enjoy it. Her jaw dropped and her eyes widened in shock as she saw the foreigner take it and throw it over some skyscraper. His throw was pretty strong too, but she didn't want to worry about that.
He then shocked her with his Japanese. She had to admit that it wasn't perfect, but compared to other foreigners, it was actually quite good. Mai had no problems understanding what he said, and by the way he was crossing his arms, he was expecting some sort of reply. The Japanese girl could find herself loosing her temper.
"Omae buttobasuyo!" (I'll beat you up.)
Heads on the street turned, wondering what kind of person was using such foul language. They could see some girl in ripped clothing trying to tackle a tall foreign guy. Her hands tried to close around his neck, and the tackle was enough to make them lose balance. Now Mai found herself on top of the foreigner.
"Omae mitaina otoko nante kiraiyo," Mai said in Japanese as she continued to glare at him. (I hate men like you.)

"Omae buttobasuyo!"
Clearly he had pissed her, he could tell as much by her facial expression. Not to the mention the fact that she had just threatened him. Narin would smirk as she spoke, "Try it." he would think to himself as he looked at the girl with a smirk. Though, he was relatively caught off guard as she dropped him to the floor, and frontal mounted him. Her sat on top of him, he would grin even more, looking up at her. Truthfully, he could easily throw her off him. She wasn't exactly heavy, nor was she muscular.
"Omae mitaina otoko nante kiraiyo,"
His arms would raise up and he would show his palms to her. "I think we're skipping first base here, don't you think?" He would say to her in his cocky tone, clearly making reference to the positioning of her on top of him.
"You hate men like me, why?" He would ask from his floored position. May as welll humour her, just for giggles.

As soon as they were on the ground, she repositioned her hands so that she would have a better grip on his neck. How dare he throw her precious food way. There was nothing wrong with eating something that was dropped on the ground. It was definitely better than throwing it away or just leaving it there to mold. Mai considered this a horrible act of food waste.
He wasn't even fighting back. Usually a guy with his strength would be able to defend himself or at least do something. She raised her eyebrows and stared at him. This was quite strange. That was when she realized it. It was the position they were in. Her cheeks turned bright pink, and she let go of his neck.
Her embarrassment turned into anger as soon as she stood up. Mai was pretty much blaming this whole incident on Narin. He was the one who started it by standing in the way when she was running. Then he threw away her hot dog. Now he was... She didn't want to even think about it.
"Hentai!" (Pervert!)
She turned away and clutched her stomach. It felt so empty, and she blushed when it growled slightly. If she wasn't so hungry, she would have picked a fight with the guy. Her hunger was really starting to get away. Mai probably didn't have the energy to beat up Narin.

She was blushing from his comment? How cute. He would smile as she called him a pervert, standing up and brushing himself off. At least she hadn't actually injured him, or properly attacked him. Had she done so he would have been half tempted to hurt her back, and that would have caused a lot of damage.
His smile would fade away as she turned, holding her grumpling stomach, almost in pain by the seems of it. How could he smile at that? The girl was clearly in need of some money, even her clothes were old and torn. He felt sorry for her if anything. He knew what it was like to be hungry and out of pocket.
"Jesus, just let me buy you a good meal, no strings attached." He would say to her with concern in his tone. Sure she was angry, and he had been a jerk by throwing her food away, but if he could make up for her by offering proper nurishment then it would have been a little better, right?
"Come on, you look like your about to keel over and die from hunger." Narin would say to her pleasantly. She seemed slightly arrogant and stubborn, but it almost seemed like a life or death situation.

Mai wondered what she looked like to Narin and all the other people on the street who passed by her. She probably looked like some broke homeless girl. Her clothes were ripped, her hair was a tangled mess, she was quite skinny, and she was pretty dirty. She's been spending the past few years trying to make money, but she only made enough to keep herself alive. For some reason she felt embarrassed standing there.
His offer of a good meal was quite tempting. Mai wasn't dumb. She took up every chance at getting food, but would it really be strings attached this time? He seemed like some kind of pervert that would try to take advantage of her. However, Mai couldn't resist. She would rather accept his offer than walk around with an empty stomach.
He did seem to be a very nice a person, and if he did anything to her, she would make sure that he would be punished. Maybe everything will turn out OK.
"Yes please," she said in her accented English a little reluctantly.

"Yes please,"
Narin would watch as she thought his offer over. He knew what it was like to be in that position, the dangers involved and the risks it took to accept the offer, but in the end she did, if a little reluctantly. To Narin it hardly mattered, so long as he was helping the girl out he would be happy. What kind of person would he be if he let her starve to death. Besides, it was the least he could do after he had lobbed her filthy hot dog half way across Habunda...probably.
"Alright then," Narin would say in response, giving a pleasant and warm smile to try and make her feel a little more comfortable. With that, he would turn and head across the road. Luckily there was a restaraunt right across the street, a decent one too. Heading in, he would grab a table on the far wall, a small booth which happened to be quite cozy and out of the way from the busier parts of the restaurant. Just how he liked it.
"Grab whatever you want, I don't mind," he would say to her with a smile and a nod. Right now, it was about making her feel a little more secure around him, and to let her know that he was just trying to help and that was all.
Meanwhile, he'd be doing his best to keep that metal arm of his hidden away.

Mai couldn't believe that she was actually accepting food from a foreigner. For some reason it made her cheeks turn pink from embarassment. This felt like charity or something and it was humiliating. However, her hunger was just too unbearable. She had no choice but to suck up her pride.
She pushed through the crowd and tried to follow him. It was hard since he walked so fast, but she didn't dare complain. It was a relief when they were finally in the restraunt. They were able to sit at a booth where she could move around freely. She took a seat across from Narin and found herself staring at him. It would be pretty awkward if they just sat there with nothing to talk about.
That was why she grabbed the menu as soon as her head turned and noticed it. She opened it and order the cheapest thing she saw. It was just a plain bowl of rice, fish, and miso soup, something that you could find at anywhere at Ginza-ko. It was pretty much the only thing she would be able to stomach in an awkward situation like this. A waitress came over and she gave her order. Glancing at Narin, she wondered if he was going to order something or just sit there.

She followed him in and ordered her food. It wasn't exactly much, but if that was her choice, then sure thing. Narin would follow, ordering a simple hamburger and a drink. Once the waitress had headed off, he would turn his head to Mai. His feet would be up on the sofa like booth seat, back against the wall. Those blue eyes of his would look at the Japanese girl across from him, at her face, then at her clothes. They were tattered and torn, dirty even. She was starving too.
"Where do you live?" Narin would ask. He was trying to work out whether the girl actually had a home, or if she was actually homeless. His question would go out in Japanese, and he would simply wait for a response, if one was to come at all.

Her head lowered and her eyes turned away as she felt Narin look at her with his blue eyes. She never mind be stared at by other Japanese, but when it was a foreigner, she would get pretty nervous. It felt as if she was being scrutinized. What would he think of her when he saw her tattered clothing or her dirty face? Her cheeks turned pink just from thinking about it. It was embarassing to her for some reason.
"Ginza-ko," she quickly replied.
He probably knew what the place was. She often saw other foreigners around that area. She wondered what he thought of the residents there. They didn't like technology or people associated with it. She would probably even get a few more questions just from that short answer. What should she say if he asked her about her lifestyle?
Her head lifted and she met Narin's gaze. There were so many questions she wanted to ask a foreigner. The problem was that they were too foolish and embarassing to ask.

She turned away, blushing. Maybe he was making her uncomfortable. If so, he would quickly remove his gaze, looking briefly over to the counter and around the restauraunt, merely taking the site in. Looking back, he noted that she eventually met his gaze, then spoke out. She lived in Ginza-Ko? That was actually something he was hoping wasn't the case. As she spoke, his left arm which rested upon the table quickly moved away and underneath the table, as if he were trying to hide it. He looked down.
"Ginza-Ko..." He would say, his eyes shaking almost. His tone would pick up sadness, as if that name brought pain and bad memories. He however would quickly shrug it off, looking back up at the girl.
"What about family? You have a family right?" He asked, as if it would be odd if she didn't. He however had no family, so he would have been able to relate. It was Ginza-Ko that had made him how he was today, and thinking back it flushed the memories into his head. Was his house still there?
His thought process would be cut off, as the waitress arrived with their orders, and Narin would quickly pay for it, not hesitating in taking a bite of his burger as soon as the waitress had left. He still expected an answer though, that much he wouldn't let go.
