Character Name: Ace Iocus Regina
Nicknames: Jack, Queen, King, Ace, Joker
Soul Type: Lotus
Age: 18
Date of Birth: February 29, 2012
Height: 5'9
Weight: 156 lbs
Blood Type: O-
Eye Colour: Blue
Hair Colour: Brown
Appearance:
Life springs from his blue eyes, and it is easy to get lost staring within the depths of the ocean when staring within them. Well built, average in height, and a decent weight for being slender. A pretty capsule, but the flesh hides many scars which should be apparent. The irony of his stature is eloquent in itself.
Personality: Fortune seems to always be in favor, but even one with vast amount of luck has their downfalls. Karma still seeps in, and destroys everything held dear. One life ruined everything, and now only sorrow and hatred grows. Romantic words flow from his lips only to vent the pain which burns his soul. A fresh spring portrait followed by hot and passionate summer eyes, and a harvested autumn body. But within his heart though is a cold winter which spreads and freezes everything.
Fighting Style: "Magna Fortuna"
When it comes to fighting alone the style has many flaws, and can be easily picked apart by those more adept. It follows closely along a kickboxing stance which leans more toward defense than offense. Dodges and blocks are meant to force the opponent to get in closer where then a quick jab or elbow is made to help gain a safe distance. The scenario repeats.
When "magna fortuna" is added with soul skills though, it varies into a deadly offense. The concept is still the same when opponents are nearby, draw enemies close, and then gain a distance. The difference is that now strikes can be made at a distance to keep his opponent as far away as possible. ((More of how this works will be explained in the soul skill section.))
This style is named magna fortuna (great fortune) because it would seem to be based off of a system of luck. But with 54 instead of 52, it is easy to cheat the mistress of fortune into your favor.
Strengths: Fortune is the greatest strength. Everything physically either lacks or is average. The power to utilize fortune to his advantage will always be his biggest asset. When fighting at a range, he is amazing. He's mentally flawed and scarred.
Weaknesses: He isn't that great at fighting up close, and most of his combat abilities are ways of him getting away from his opponent. He's weak and can't take or give out much damage with hand to hand attacks. He's mentally flawed and scarred.
History: "I was born a magician. I had a fascination with cards. I've got many nicknames all having something to do with the card tricks I used to perform. They were all staged until one day with the flick of my wrist they raised in the air. My life was changed ever since. Ego magnam mentem habeo."
"I was a juvenile performer at the age of sixteen. I dropped out of high school, and went traveling from city to city. Renita came to one of my shows in Chicago. She was amazed! Later at dinner she ran into me, and asked for my autograph. I was captivated by her beauty, and asked if she wanted to do anything later. She was really surprised when she found out she was dating a minor! Ego sum fortuna!"
"I lived with her until my eighteenth birthday, and that was the day I proposed to her. I was of legal age, and she was only three years older than me. We got married, and our honeymoon was going to be in Japan! It was exciting! Ego Renitam amo!"
"It had always been one of Renita's wishes to travel to Japan, and I was inclined to go... It was there she was raped and killed... All because she wanted to stop me from drinking away the last of our money... My life was ruined. Amor est iam nihil."
"I'm stranded here. Ego pecuniam non habeo. Quis cura?"
Notice: He always carries 54 Bicycles.
Soul Skills:
"Fifty-Four"
Stage 1 "Ego sum ace. Ego sum magnus ventus. Tu est metuisti?":
Fifty-two cards seem to come to life as the wind lets them linger in the air. The left hand raises into the air becoming the life of the cards further leading them. The hand is occupied, unable to do anything except focus on controlling the cards because if it falls, so do the cards. The index finger points to one, and then flings to a direction forcing the card to go flying in that direction. By how quickly the hand flings is how powerful the impact of the card will be. It slices through the skin like a sharp blade, and with a snap of the fingers reappears where it had started.
Hidden within the right sleeve are two more cards. After all, one must insure their fortune when playing a game of cards. When someone becomes too big a threat, a sudden shift is made with the right arm as it goes outward, and the hand twists further to the right. The two cards without direction of the left hand fly out, and jab right into the opponent puncturing their skin (but not ripping through!). This seems not to bode well with the mistress of fortune though, and if both jokers are used, the cards instantly drop to the ground no longer favoring the user. The effect lasts until the user can make it up to the mistress of fortune. (In other words, the ability won't work for the rest of the battle.)
The cards remain in the air until either the left hand drops, both jokers are used, or he runs out of the adequate amount of soul energy needed to keep going. Once the cards are down, they're down for the rest of the battle. The only exception to this is if the left hand drops -slowly- and -willingly- instead of forcefully~
