Almost another day

Darius was awakened by the sound of shattered glass, he sighed getting up to see that someone had thrown a rock into his apartment. "damn kids he muttered" heading over to the bathroom.

After dealing with all the morning necessaries, Darius opened up the fridge to find out he is out of eggs, milk, those toaster waffles were gone too, he needed to restock. He did find a pack of cookies though and ate them in record breaking time. Darius found his wallet and was soon out of the apartment.

With a denim vest on and tank top under it, with a clean pair of jeans, he walked the streets of Ginza-Ko. He was getting odd looks from the locals as usual, he clenched his metallic fist every time someone point and whispered to the person next to them. But he just ignored them and kept on walking

yup he sure knew how to blend in.

"It's not often to see someone in Ginza-ko with that arm shown in the open."

Shira was surprised that he hadn't been chased out by an angry mob yet. Of course, Shira was no different than him. Her family used electronics, which was why they lived on the outskirts. Still, she still was accepted by most people here. She also remembered when the people first saw her natural blue hair and weird eyes. Yeah, people feared others that were different.

Shira finished paying for the food she was buying and took the bag of food, walking over to the man that stood out from the others. He didn't seem to bothered by them, but being alone was always a bad thing. Maybe he needed someone to talk to.

"How's it going?"

Was is a stupid question? Maybe yet maybe not. Things didn't seem to be going well, but it was better asking than assuming.

Darius looked down at the girl, a puzzled look clear on his face. He didn't get allot of people walking up to him to just to make conversation, but it was better than nothing. Darius hesitated for a second then said, "getting by."

Not really knowing what to say about her comment on his arm."yourself?"Darius said putting on his friendly conversational voice.

"Pretty good."

Every day out here was good for Shira. She got to be around nature all the time which to her was the best. Not only that, but she was finally able to leave Ginza-ko on her own to see other places due to her sixteenth birthday. Her parents deemed her to be adult enough to, which Shira was happy that she could see other places and enjoy other things. So overall, she was pretty good.

"I haven't seen you around here, but then I do live on the outskirts of Ginza-ko. You live here or here because of other means?"

Shira couldn't help but pry. Sometimes she didn't care much about some things about others and sometimes she was Curious George.

"Yeah I live here around here, don't go out allot though." Darius said, giving a couple who where staring at him his "death look" before turning to the girl again."not really popular around here"with a smirk.

Darius didn't really have much of a choice of where he lived, it belonged to the man that saved his life. He glanced sideways for a second remembering that day.

"Just here to get some supplies," he said shifting his eyes back onto her, then paused for a second realizing that he didn't know her name"I'm Darius by the way."

Darius, huh? Shira pocketed the name in her mind. The guy lived around here so there was no doubt that Shira would see him again at one point or another. As Darius' look scared a few away, she wondered what people were saying. Both Darius and Shira used technology and while Shira was a friend of some of the people of Ginza-ko, the two of them talking together didn't help the opinions of the people. It was like two criminals talking together making plans. Well, let them think what they want. She didn't want Darius to be alone in terms of support and friends in this environment.

"I'm Shira."

Shira was curious of if there was a reason Darius was staying here and not in Habundo or something like that, but she didn't go any further. That would be rude and she didn't want someone like Darius to think badly about her or in that way.

"If you don't go out a lot, what do you usually do each day."

She just hoped that wasn't prying too much.

Darius would defiantly remember her name, he dose'nt know allot of people around here so he wouldn't get mixed up. Darius enjoyed talking to Shira, she seemed nice enough but mostly he was glad to be have someone to talk to.

"I usually work out at home," he said slightly flexing his muscles "and if I do go out its mostly in the soul slums."

Darius felt like he was being interrogated but he didn't really mind. He would have his turn asking questions.

"So, Shira what do you usually do around here?" Darius said crossing his arms

She nodded as Darius told her what he mostly did. He did look the part. At least he went out, even if it was the Soul Slums. She didn't hate the slums, but the lack of nature there really hurt the environment. Which led her to the answer of Darius' question, which was one just like hers. Her hobbies were just as simple as his.

"I really enjoy nature, so I tend to it. When I'm not, I usually spend my time training both physically and my Neo Soul power."

Shira wondered if Darius was a Soul User. Chances were extremely high. It was hard to find someone that wasn't a soul user, but there were people alive that weren't here and there.

"I'm guessing you're a Soul User, correct?"

"Guilty as charged" Darius said with a smirk, raising his arms as a gesture of surrender."but I can't control any elements or special powers." he said lowering his arms.

Darius mostly focused on his strength, he didn't really know how to train his soul powers. Darius' chain of thought was broken when someone bumped into him from behind and continued walking without even liking back.

Darius just released that they where standing there in and it was getting crowded.

"hey, umm...can we go somewhere else." Darius saids eyes shifting from side to side.

Shira realized the crowd was growing rather quickly and started weaving in and out as the people came. One of them ran into Darius and Shira tried to get their attention but it did not work. She let out a quiet scoff at the person. The nerve of some of the people here. She liked the place but some of them could be a bit nicer.

Darius suggested that they go somewhere else. Shira nodded in response.

"Yeah, I'll say...any idea in mind or any preference."

Shira started running through places in her head. There were many places in Ginza-ko to get out of the way of other people. The question was how willing Darius was to get away from people. Considering him, he seemed pretty willing.

Darius shrugged, he doesn't spend allot of time out and about in Ginzo-Ko, he would run into trouble with a doubt if he did. He would by the supplies when he gets back, sure enough the cookies would be finished in less than a week.

"I don't have anything in mind, you know somewhere?" Darius said eyes darting back to the girl.

Shira's mind ran through possible places. Her house wasn't an option. Bringing someone like Darius there would only be more trouble than it was worth. It wasn't that they would hate him. They'd simply asked too many questions, and Taku for sure would be very annoying with them.

Since that option was out at the time, it might be one later, there was another place close to her house just a short walk away from here that would be far less crowded. That side of Ginza-ko was where a lot of people who used a bit of technology lived, so it would no doubt be better that was anyways.

"I know a place just a short walk away if you're willing.

"sure I don't mind." Darius said, he was more than glad to leave that area, a short walk wont do them any harm. Darius tends to get very uncomfortable in crowds, and the fact that these people didn't really like him; doesn't make him feel any better.

"lead the way" he said taking a step back.

Shira nodded and started walking through the crowd, away from the bustling center of Ginza-ko. After a bit of walking she was out of the main crowd of people, so she turned to see if Darius was behind her and had kept up. With her blue hair it was easy to keep an eye on her, but sometimes a person could simply lose them from their sight. It has happened to her with her family once. It would be easy to find Darius if he did lose sight of her. He did stand out quite a bit.

As soon as she made sure that he was there and followed her, she started down a road not often traveled by the normal people of Ginza-ko. The road that led to the outskirts of Ginza-ko. It didn't take but five minutes of a walk, but there was a big difference between the two places. On the outskirts, there were far less people, and while people tried to keep it out of sight, a bit of technology here and there.

The two passed her house but she kept on going, making not even a glance at the place. She kept on walking out of view of the house and into what would be called a meeting square of some sort of the outskirts of Ginza-ko. Shira turned to Darius.

"Welcome to the Outskirts of Ginza-ko. Quite different from the main area of Ginza-ko, isn't it? We could even be called a different village."

Shira considered herself a part of the Ginza-ko society. There were some people who didn't use technology that were friends of people who did. However, those people were slowly disappearing, being overrun by the majority of the haters of Ginza-ko.

Darius stayed close to Shira as she lead him to wards the outskirts. Darius felt allot more comfortable, he relaxed his posture and his guard down. He inhaled deeply and let it out slowly, he liked places like theses it felt much better than the tense atmosphere of the inner Ginza.

"I'm liking this place already."Darius said with a grin, stretching his arms.
