::The Soul Encyclopedia::
This thread is designed to give information on various things within the Soul Brawler universe. Its intent is to remove any confusion held by members on the storyline and other matters.
This will be updated regularly.
::Souls::
Soul's were first used by the Japanese Military in the war, by injecting soldiers with Neo Spores to enhance their physical and mental abilities. It was only through this process that scientists realised the Neo Spores allowed for much more artificial abilities as well.
Since the Neo Virus Spore infection, they have been made available to public as a means of protection. Soul Brawlers have merely adopted them as their weapon in the streets. In general, the Soul Police effectively reduce crime by use of Soul's as weapons substantially, yet crimes by Soul Brawlers are another matter, to which the Special Soul Brawler task force has been created instead.
::Neo Virus Mutants::
Neo Virus Mutants are the remnants of the infectious outbreak from the war, caused by the bombing of the Neo Spore generators. Generally, these monster like creatures are bound to the Soul SLum and Narakuyama, yet the potential threat of these creatures breaching the limits into the rest of Tokyo and Japan is ever present.
Like Humans, all creatures on earth can be infected with the Neo Spore Infection, and this is also the case with these animals, whom have come to adopt either Lotus, Neo, or Neo Virus Soul types. It has been said that through government experimentation, some animals even have the Iron Soul type.
::Soul Energy::
Soul energy is the source created by Neo spores, and through infection allows for all soul users to perform their skills. As such, it also affects their physical bodies in certain ways, allowing them to perform feats which defy the laws of physics.
::Spoken Language::
During the war, certain parts of Japan were invaded by American and British forces, as well as other English speaking forces. Due to this, Japan was partly westernised, and people grew accustomed to the language. After the war past, and President Roujin made his public apology, foreigners were welcomed into Japan once more and in vast numbers. It was because of this that most Japanese residents saw it necessary to learn English and to accept it.
