"Huh? Oh no, I just can't remember when I picked up that damn bracer...." He looked around for it again, not seeing it. "One day it wasn't there, and I just walked around with no sleeve on my shirts, and the next day, far as I can tell, poof, there it is...." It was one hell of a mystery. One he was never going to solve.... Ah well. "It's not really a problem but I can't get it off unless the God Hand activates, and it automatically returns a couple of minutes after the God Hand shuts it self off...." He glanced around the corner, the cops on the outside of the wall were just sitting there. That must be a shitty job, Gene thought to himself.
"It's not really a problem, it's just fucking weird...." He brushed the arm with his gloved hand. It felt colder than usual now that he heard from an outside source that it would actually heat up. He couldn't tell that it did for sure since he wasn't exactly feeling his arm when it went off or when it shut off, and he didn't have much of any sensation in it when it was active. At least, he had yet to actually hit something hard enough to feel it in the glowing right arm....
"So, you live around here?" He looked back at Narin, "I just flew in myself so I gotta get a room or something...."

That explained why the guy didn't know anything about what was going on in Japan. Oh well, he wasn't the first. They would continue walking, and since Gene was going the same way, sooner or later he'd end up following Narin back to his hotel.
"I'm renting a room at a hotel called the Lost Haven, you'll get a room for about 30 bucks, US Dollars, they'll accept dollars or Yen just fine. It aint a bad place, bedroom, bathroom kitchen and living room and a little balcony." Narin would explain to him, his eyes fixated on the walk ahead of him. "If you need a place to stay, you can follow me back there." Narin would say to the guy, before awaiting a response.

Gene listened to the hotel and his eyes widened and jaw slacked slightly. If it was anything above a dilapidated shit hole, that was a down right awesome price. "Well shit, I'm with you. I'll need to buy a house or rent an apartment or something though. There a bank I can use wire transfers near there?" He asked, following his new friend. With the money he had and could borrow from his parents, he could most likely scrounge enough to get a house in one of the suburbs outside the city. Rubbing his arm again before cracking the knuckles and wrist, he glanced back toward the hole in the wall, then up toward the top of it. Still no sign of the bracer.
He had to admit, that thing was damn useful. Blocking, striking, and as it had just displayed, nailing nearby enemies in the head when the God Hand decided to set itself off. Figuring to free his mind of the bracer, he put his hands behind his head and followed the brit. Another question came up. "I know what I'm doing here, but why are you in Japan? I didn't think they'd like foreigners much after the war." Curiosity, plain and simple. And if you're thinking about the old adage, Gene wasn't a cat, now was he?

Narin would nod as they walked. "Yeah, there is." He would reply quite blandly, keeping his focus on the walk. They were a mere 5 minutes or so from the hotel, so a quick pace would allow them to arrive quite soon.
"I know what I'm doing here, but why are you in Japan? I didn't think they'd like foreigners much after the war."
His reason for being in Japan? Well, that was simple. There were of course a number of reasons, and he wouldn't be going deep into them any time soon, not with this person whom he had just met. "I've lived in Japan since I was 5. After the war, President Roujin apologised for his anger based decisions, and the majority of Japan were okay with foreigners after that." Narin would explain to Gene, who was so obviously new to Japan. With that little explanation, and some more conversing between the two there after, they arrived at the hotel. Gene would no doubt grab some money and organise his room, and Narin would divulge his room number before heading off. If Gene needed help getting around Japan, he wouldn't be too concerned about helping. A friendly face was good afterall, especially in this day and age.
